The FSAI comes under the aegis of the Minister for Health.  It has a 10 member Board, which is advised by the Scientific Committee and the Food Safety Consultative Council.  The Chief Executive is the direct link to the FSAI Board.  Within the FSAI there are four administrative divisions: Food Science and Standards, Service Contracts, Audit and Compliance and Corporate Services.
