Food Service Forum

In 2002, the Authority built on the success of the Retail Forum by creating the Food Service Forum which draws its membership from businesses and representative organisations in the catering sector. The Food Service Forum had its first full meeting in October 2002 has met quarterly through 2003. A review of progress will be conducted at the end of 2003. To date the forum has had input into the FSAI/Health Board national HACCP strategy and into the development of guides to good hygienic practice. The group is also represented on the National Standards Authority of Ireland working group that is currently revising I.S. 340.
