The HACCP Steering Committee was founded in 2002 in order to increase the level of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) compliance in premises inspected by the Health Boards (now collectively known as the Health Service Executive (HSE)). The committee is chaired by FSAI and consists of an Environmental Health Officer (EHO) representative from each of the ten HSE areas and a representative from the Department of Health and Children (DoHC).
