Training for Management in the Chinese Food Sector

Who is it for?

This programme has been developed for Management (owner/manager/head chef) in the Chinese food sector. The aim of this training programme is to provide Management with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to:

  • operate their business in a safe food manner and
  • provide basic level food safety training to their employees

The programme is delivered by Chinese Nationals and has been designed to promote the application of training in the work environment. Each premises taking part in the programme is trained individually and each trainee receives a workbook in Chinese.

Programme Cost and Content

The programme costs €520 per premises and the trainer spends ten hours contact time with each premises. This time is broken down as follows:

Day 1: 1 hour 

  • pre-training visit

Day 2: 3 hours

  • programme introduction
  • personal hygiene
  • food and food safety hazards
  • food microbiology

Day 3: 3 hours 

  • food premises design
  • cleaning and pest control
  • food safety training

Day 4: 2 hours 

  • food safety management (An introduction to HACCP)

Day 5: 1 hour

  • post-training visit
