Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 506/2011 (OJ L L136 p52, 24/05/2011) of 23 May 2011 amending Regulation (EU) No 297/2011 imposing special conditions governing the import of feed and food originating in or consigned from Japan following the accident at the Fukushima nuclear power station
Summary: This amending Regulation increases the list of affected zones from which testing of all feed and food originating from these prefectures is required before export to the EU. It also clarifies the requirements for products consigned from the affected zone but originating in a region outside the affected zone. The declaration form in Annex 1 to this Regulation replaces the previous version.

Summary: This Regulation limits the time period during which the authorisation for imports of poultry and poultry products into the EU from specified parts of Israel is suspended until 14 June 2011 following adequate cleansing and disinfection of the previously infected holding.

Commission Regulation (EU) No 432/2011 (OJ L115, p1, 05/05/2011)of 4 May 2011 refusing to authorise certain health claims made on foods, other than those referring to the reduction of disease risk and to children’s development and health
Summary: The health claims set out in the Annex to this Regulation will not be included in the EU list of permitted claims as provided for in Article 13(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, however, products bearing the health claims placed on the market or labelled prior 25th May 2011 may remain on the market for a maximum period of six months after that date ( i.e. 25th November 2011)
Commission Regulation (EU) No 440/2011 (OJ L119, p4, 07/05/2011) of 6 May 2011 on the authorisation and refusal of authorisation of certain health claims made on foods and referring to children’s development and health
Summary: The health claims listed in Annex I to this Regulation may be made on foods on the EU market in compliance with the conditions laid down in that Annex and are included in the EU list of permitted claims referred to in Article 14(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006.
The health claims listed in Annex II to the Regulation will not be included in the EU list of permitted claims as provided for in Article 14(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 but they may continue to be used for 6 months after the entry into force of this Regulation ( i.e. until the 27th November 2011)

Summary: This Regulation amends the entries in Annexes II to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 in relation to abamectin, fenhexamid, pyraclostrobin, thiacloprid and trifloxystrobin; the entries in part A of Annex III, in relation to cyprodinil, difenoconazole, dimethomorph, proquinazid, prothioconazole, spirotetramat, and thiamethoxam and part B of Annex III the column for abamectin, acetamiprid, fenhexamid and trifloxystrobin are amended.

Summary: This regulation amends the entries in Annexes II to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 with regard to benalaxyl, carbofuran, carbosulfan, cypermethrin, indoxacarb, methoxyfenozide, paraquat, prochloraz and zoxamide and , part A of Annex III, the columns for boscalid, buprofezin, fluopicolide, hexythiazox, metaflumizone, prothioconazole, spirodiclofen are amended and in part B of Annex III, the columns for cypermethrin, indoxacarb and methoxyfenozide are amended.

Summary: This Decision authorises the placing of chromium picolinate as a source of chromium on the market in the EU as a novel food ingredient to be used in food without prejudice to the specific provisions of Regulation (EC) No 953/2009 and/or Regulation (EC) No 1925/2006. The designation of the novel food ingredient authorised by this Decision on the labelling of the foodstuff containing it is ‘Chromium Picolinate’.

Summary: This Regulation places an obligation on EU Member States to make available to the public, in an appropriate manner including publication on the Internet, the lists of registered organic operators (and relevant information relating to them ) as referred to in Article 28(5) of Regulation (EC) No 834/2007. This shall apply from 1 January 2013.
