Monitoring

The FSAI is responsible for monitoring food on the Irish market to ensure that it is safe and complies with food legislation. This monitoring is carried out in a variety of ways.

Routine Surveillance

Routine surveillance is carried out by the official agencies including microbiological, chemical, genetically modified food, irradiated food and labelling surveillance. Read more on routine surveillance

Other Surveys
