Targeted Monitoring of the Irish Food Supply

Occasionally the FSAI will commission specific microbiological monitoring projects, for example, in response to recommendations of the Scientific Committee. These are listed below.

  • A surveillance study of E. coli O157:H7 and Enterobacteriaceae in Irish retail minced beef and beef burgers  
  • Surveillance study of E. coli O111 and E. coli O26 in minced beef on retail sale in Ireland  
  • Surveillance of Dairy Production Holdings Supplying Raw Milk to Farmhouse Cheese makers for Verocytotoxin producing E. coli O157 and other VTEC
