Regulation (EC) 1924/2006 allows for the establishment of a European Community Register of nutrition and health claims made on food. The Community Register will include the following:

  • the nutrition claims and the conditions applying to them as set out in the Annex of Regulation (EC) 1924/2006;
  • restrictions adopted in accordance with Article 4(5) of Regulation (EC) 1924/2006;
  • the authorised health claims and the conditions applying to them provided for in Articles 13(3) and (5), 14(1), 19(2), 21, 24(2) and 28(6) and the national measures referred to in Article 23(3) of Regulation (EC) 1924/2006
  • a list of rejected health claims and the reasons for their rejection.

This Community Register has been established, however some sections of it are currently missing as work on those areas is continuing at EC level. However, the Register is updated at regular intervals.
