SFI Public Service Fellowships

The Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Public Service Fellowship is an initiative from SFI that offers researchers a unique opportunity to be temporarily seconded to Government departments and State agencies to work on specific projects where they can add value resulting in mutually beneficial outcomes. 

The 2023 SFI Public Service Fellowship call has partnered with the FSAI and there are three FSAI projects available for application, namely:

  • Data analytics for chemical risk prioritisation (data analytics)
  • Modelling the impact of maximum amounts in fortified foods and food supplements on the nutritional status of the Irish population (data analytics / public health / nutrition) 
  • The application of behavioural science to influence food safety compliance (behavioural science)

Location: The FSAI is based in Dublin but is working in a hybrid system and can be flexible about the main location of any applicants.
