The FSAI has been informed of a recall initiated by Nestlé of particular batches of Honey Nut Cheerios. Nestlé are initiating the recall due to detection of some lumps of honey and sugar in two isolated batches of product. Nestlé are concerned that some of these lumps are hard and could potentially cause a choking hazard or be difficult to eat.
As a result of the presence of the lumps, the affected batches (see above) are being withdrawn form sale.
Nestlé are advising consumers to check the 375g and 600g packets for the above batch codes, which are located in the best before date panel on the top of the box. Nestlé request that customers with affected boxes from the batches remove the top flap from the pack and return it for a full refund directly to Nestlé Cereals, Unit 16, Fonthill Business Park, Fonthill Road North, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.
