The FSAI provides an Advice Line service offering help and guidance on all manner of food legislation and food safety matters. The Advice line can be contacted by email email@example.com or by phone 1890 336677.
We produce guidance material to assist enforcement officers in their enforcement activities and food businesses in complying with relevant food legislation. This is available mostly free of charge on our website and some are available in hard copy, again mostly free of charge.
We provide a ‘make a complaint’ form on our website so that consumers can make a complaint about a food or food establishment. Complaints are subsequently investigated by the relevant official agency on our behalf.
The FSAI has a complaints procedure if a customer is not happy with the service we provide or the way in which a complaint was handled. We also have a complaint procedure for food businesses that are unhappy with their inspector or the outcome of an inspection. See our FAQ on making a complaint.
