Food Business Registration (Brexit)

If you wish to set up a food business in Ireland, EU and national legislation obliges you to  register your food business with a competent authority. The particular authority you need to register with will depend on the type of business you intend to operate such as whether the business will handle or process  foods of animal origin, for example meat, poultry, fish etc.  The contact details for the competent authorities are available on the FSAI website.

If you intend on using any additional storage premises (such as a warehouse) or you change the activities within your already registered food business, you will need to consult directly with your official agency as this will need to reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
