AGENDA ITEMS

LO'C welcomed those attending the meeting on behalf of permanent members of the steering committee.  

1.  SEHB Presentation

TC and EK gave a presentation to the committee on the results of a survey of HACCP compliance in Food Premises in Waterford Community Care Area

Noted: Copies of the presentation were distributed at the meeting.

2.  Minutes and matters arising

The minutes were agreed without amendments.  

3.  Compliance Document

(a.) Revision of Compliance Document

The document was discussed at length and comments were made.

Noted: AMP left the meeting at this point

(b.) Enforcement

There was discussion and comments/suggestions were made.

Agreed: The Steering Committee will send comments on the enforcement section

Noted: ROG and JM left the meeting at his point  

4.  2003 Targets

Some members expressed their concern at deciding the next target group before we have assessed the effect our campaign has had.

After much discussion it was agreed that an interim assessment on the progress made by the current target premises was needed to determine the effectiveness of the HACCP campaign to date. The following was agreed-

•  A desk-top assessment of target premises to be carried out by each health board

•  HACCP Steering Committee members to return results to FSAI by Monday 3rd November 2003  

5.  2004 Targets

Members to send suggestions for the next target group by e-mail.
