The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has been informed by Nutrition Point that it is recalling certain batches of Trufee Choc Dippers (52g) as they may contain traces of peanuts. The recall is of the product with the following sell by dates: 12/12/09; 13/12/09; 16/01/10; 17/02/10; 03/04/10; 17/06/10; 26/06/10; 28/06/10; 07/07/10. The product is aimed at people following a wheat and gluten free diet, and it is labelled as containing hazlenuts. It is still wheat and gluten free but is a risk to peanut allergy sufferers. Peanut allergy sufferers may suffer an allergic reaction from the implicated batches of the product. Consumers with a peanut allergy are advised not to eat the implicated batches of the product.
