Advice on Pandemic H1N1 2009 ('swine flu')

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has confirmed the first pig herd to have tested positive for Pandemic H1N1 2009 (commonly referred to as 'swine flu'). The Department stated that this is not an unexpected event given the widespread occurrence of the pandemic virus in humans and the possibility for occasional transmission from humans to pigs.

Pine Nuts Aftertaste Phenomenon

Reports of a recent phenomenon involving the consumption of pine nuts originating in China have shown that some people who have consumed pine nuts have experienced a bitter aftertaste one to two days after eating the pine nuts.
