Breakfast Bite on 3 March: Food labelling for food businesses – what you need to know
Wednesday, 17 February 2021
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) would like to present ‘Breakfast Bites’, a series of free, informal meetings for small food businesses. Here, we provide useful information on the topics you want to know more about.
Are you a food business operator selling prepacked food? If so, you are required to provide certain labelling information on your products.
In this short Breakfast Bite, Clodagh Crehan (FSAI) will cover all of the information that by law, must be declared on the label, regardless of the size of your food business. It is suitable if you own or work in a food business and also, for those of you who are thinking about setting up a new food business in the future.
This webinar will give an overview of the EU and Irish rules on food labelling. Clodagh will also explain when a food is considered prepacked, when it is non-prepacked and the information that must be provided for both. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation. This free event will be held online and will last 40 minutes.
Shortly after registration, you will receive the event link by email which will give you the details on how to join the event at 10am on Wednesday, 3 March 2021. In order to join the event on the day, you will need a computer, tablet or smartphone.
