Guidelines in Relation to the Recognition of Appropriately Qualified Experts for the Purposes of a Documentary Review

Under Regulation 12(3) of the European Union (Official Controls in Relation to Food Legislation) Regulations, 2020 (S.I. No. 79 of 2020), the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) is obliged to publish guidelines in relation to the recognition of appropriately qualified experts for the purpose of a documentary review.

This short guidance is designed to assist a food business in appointing their own recognised and appropriately qualified expert for the purposes of documentary review.
