There is now an opportunity for new members to join the Artisan Forum to ensure a broad spread of representation across artisan food production in Ireland.
The FSAI Artisan Forum serves as a key channel through which the FSAI maintains regular, open communication with different parts of the food industry.
- The Artisan Forum is a stakeholder group organised and operated by the FSAI to provide a platform for discussion on food safety issues amongst artisan small scale producers, artisan stakeholders, the FSAI and the official agencies.
- The primary objective of the Artisan Forum is to support meaningful discussion on the food safey challenges and opportunities in food safety for artisan producers. Artisan stakeholders and the FSAI work together to foster and facilitate compliance with food law and ensure the uptake of the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
- The Forum also operates as a knowledge-sharing platform where the speciality foods, food traditions and the craft of artisan food production are discussed.
For more information including current members, meeting minutes and agendas see the forum website.
