Food information must be accurate, clear and easy to understand for the consumer. It must not be misleading
The purpose of this booklet is to provide key information on the requirements set out in Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to the consumer (FIC) for prepacked foods on sale in Ireland.
The provision of detailed food information provides consumers with key information on the nature and characteristics of a foodstuff and enables them to make an informed choice when purchasing food.
