Commission Decision 2009/821/EC No longer in force, Date of end of validity: 13/12/2019 (OJ L 296, 12.11.2009, p. 1–58) of 28 September 2009 drawing up a list of approved border inspection posts, laying down certain rules on the inspections carried out by Commission veterinary experts and laying down the veterinary units in Traces.

This Decision has been amended on a number of occasions. Here is the latest consolidated version (NO LONGER IN FORCE) from 7th January 2009.

List of animals and products of animal origin subject to controls at Border Inspection Posts

Commission Decision 2007/275/EC (NO LONGER IN FORCE) (OJ L 116, p9, 04/05/2007) of 17 April 2007 concerning lists of animals and products to be subject to controls at border inspection posts under Council Directives 91/496/EEC and 97/78/EC.

Locations of Border Inspection Posts in Ireland

The following locations have approved Border Inspection Posts in operation for live animals:

Dublin Port – No designation for live animals
Dublin Airport - Equine animals only
Shannon Airport - Equine animals only

The EU approved Border Inspection Posts in Ireland and their associated approved animal product designations are as follows:
