Third Country Residue Monitoring Plans

Article 125 of Regulation (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 March 2017 on official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the application of food and feed law, rules on animal health and welfare, plant health and plant protection products (OJ L 095, p1, 7/4/2017), as amended, requires third countries (i.e., countries outside the EU) which intend to export animals and goods to the European Union to provide accurate and up-to-date information on the general organisation and management of sanitary and phytosanitary control systems in their territory.

The Annex to Commission Decision 2011/163/EU of 16 March 2011 on the approval of plans submitted by third countries in accordance with Article 29 of Council Directive 96/23/EC (OJ L 070, p40, 17/3/2011), as amended, contains the list of approved residue monitoring plans which were submitted by third countries and the animals and animal products for which a particular country is authorised to export to the EU.
