Maximum amounts of vitamins and minerals in these types of products have not been set. However, safe levels of vitamins and minerals must be taken into account when formulating products.

Minimum amounts are linked to the notion of a significant amount. A significant amount is defined in Annex XIII of Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to the consumer.
